My L052 Butterfly pleco's spawned the other day, the male has been fanning the eggs for a couple days now.

Thanks every one, but the male abandoned the eggs today. I'm not sure if they are fertilized, so I have them in a breeding trap for now. We'll see what happens.

Congrats on the spawn John. Let's hope the egss are fertilized.
L-052 is one of my favorites. They have nice markings and mine are usually out and about.

Thanks Shawn, my fingers are crossed. There are about 10 eggs, still amber in color so that's a good sign.

Well the eggs were not fertile, so I'll have to hope for another spawn. On the bright side I see they are hanging around the cave again.

I hope so, it was they're first time :o Mind you the tank is pretty busy with about a 100 L100 fry and 3 L100 breeders.

Congrats on the spawn!, bummer though that it wasn't fertilized. What did they spawn in? and would you mind posting a pict or two of the setup? I'm working on some L168 atm and they aren't getting the message lol.

Thanks... they spawned in a cave that I made. Here's a few pics of my set up with a few L100 fry. Hope they give you an idea.
