Pleco Caves

I made a couple of pleco caves using a black epoxy material I got from Hong. Thank you Hong. One is smaller and cylindrical shaped and the other is a bigger and rectangular.

I'm thinking the smaller one would be used for smaller plecos like L174's or L262's while the bigger one would be used for L134, L66 or L333's. These caves have been designed with removable parts to allow fry to be easily taken out when ready. Hong came up with the basic idea.

I'll use them soon and report back if my plecos breed in them. I'm also going to experiment with different shapes and sizes.

Looks very good. I like the design, I think the pleco will like it, but ofcourse that's up to the pleco to deside.

Hi all,

I have not had any spawnings in these caves. My plecos have checked them out but so far no pleco has claimed one as they have with the slate caves.
