Hi,
Is it possible to have many types of plecos in a largish tank?
I'm looking at setting up a 135G (72 x 18 footprint) in my living room, and would like to know how many plecos it is reasonable to keep in a show tank that size (no breeding attempts).
I'd be looking at plecos that stay under 8".
The other inhabitants might be angels, tetras, apistos and/or rams, and maybe some corys (are corys compatible with plecos?).
The aquascaping would be heavy on driftwood, low-light plants, and a few rocks, with medium/fine gravel (natural color).
In terms of species, I'm partial to the Gold Nugget, Starlight, Blue Phantom, Leopard Frog... (basically anything with some interesting color/spot highlights). (Not interested in Zebras).
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks very much,
Sean
