My Salt Queen Arabesque plecos (L262) spawned about two weeks ago. I have looked for information on Planet Catfish and they indicate breeding is unreported. Apparently others have bred them as well.
The photos I took didn't turn out well but I have attached the best ones.

So how many did you get from the spawn? What do you have them eating?

Thank you all.
I have the 5 adult L262 in a 50 gal tank with other plecos (L239 and L333). They spawned in a homemade slate cave. I have 14 fry so far. They are very small and delicate but seem to be eating and doing well. I'll try to provide more photos and information soon.

You should send your spawning report to Planet Catfish and get credit for it.
Maybe first spawn ever.
Congrats.

Its not the first spawn of this species. The guys at fantastic fins in Detroit are breeding them. Breeding should be similar if not identical to L260's at least from what I have read.

Why have Fantastic Fins not advised Planet Catfish! Shouldn't it be known that breeding has been successful.

Theres a ton of stuff that has been breed that PC doesn't update. Many species have photos in the forums of breeding reports and nothing updated in their L/LDA catalogs.

Planet catfish has not updated the site for a long long time now. Most of the sizes shown are wrong and even a lot of the feeding info is way off. Best way to use planet catfish is to ask any questions you have.

Congrats, Gino. A very nice spawn and good size number too. If she spawn 14 fry, that means she is a mature female and healthy too.

Was chatting with Jools at Planetcatfish, he is a very very busy guy. Super nice guy too. As well breeding any hypan. is nearly identical.
Not a bad size batch you got there.

Peter & Rich,
Thanks. The L262 are eating and growing nicely. I hope to have some more spawns soon.
