Hey Guys,
I have a L191 Dull Eyed Royal that I am considering selling, which is actually breaking my heart. He's one of my favorite fish but was an emotional/impulse buy. It is 6-7 inches I paid $75 for him and am willing to accept significantly less for him if I knew he was going to a good home.
They are wood eaters and require a very strict vegetarian diet, protein screws up thier digestive system and causes quite a lot of problems for them. They enjoy a strong current and need to be housed in a large tank with plenty of hiding spots. He is a very gentle fish and doesn't even seem to mind bristle nose fry that like to perch themselves on his head from time to time. :)
This is a lousy photo of him after biting through 4 bags and sitting in bags/buckets for about 12 hours at least at a local auction. He has grown since this pic a few months ago but likes to hide in the caves in my tank so without ripping apart my tank I can't get a better photo. He has grown and colored out beautifully since this picture.
I am hesitant to sell him to someone I don't know because he is one of my favorite fish & I don't want him to end up shoved into a 20 gallon with carnivores.
