Did you blanch the potato first or does it just sink naturally? I've never tried potato for my plecs, usually just market shrimp, shrimp pellets, zuchini, lettuce, algae wafers and drift wood.

Nice looking shrimp, are they still around? I had a colony of 40 living with some angels for about 3 months and then one day the angels decided to have a buffet.

Potato just sinks naturally. Though I would skin it unlike the above pic where I was testing something.

Most of my shrimp became lunch though I do still have a couple in one tank from the batch I bought back when this thread was started. :)

Note to Rich: Need to adjust the ranks for the boards.. Inspector Pleco L201 wouldn't that be Contradens now?

Cool, thanks for the info on the potato. I'll probably pick your brain about it some more tonight @ the meet.

Raw sweet potato works really well also. You may want to peel it first. My plecos won't touch the skin but love the rest. It also sinks on its own.

Doesn't it pollute the water with starch???

Hasn't appeared to thus far. Always give a good rinse after cutting though to remove any surface starches from the cut/peel process though.
