Leopard frog going for $100?

Hi guys, Just wondering if you've guys seen the prices on Leapard frog pleco lately?
I saw one going for $100 each at Aqua Pet. WTH is going on? It's fully grown and all, but I how did this price get so high?

wow, thats crazy. Last time I saw them in a shop they were around $70, still crazy high. There aren't nearly as many being imported lately either and supply for them is huge as they are not too hard to breed and look stunning.

But $100 a pop, damn thats approaching the Zeb. prices!

Not really, the Zeb prices have been steadily climbing as well. Even though there are more available now than 3 years ago. But the problem is the dame they are building in Brazil. It's going to kill alot of plecos in the Rio xingu rivers.

Leopard Frogs are from the Rio Tapaj.

Regardless $100 is nuts. Blue at Exoticfinds is getting some in the next couple weeks, wonder what he will be selling them for.

I thought everyone should know that Exoticfinds will not ship to Toronto unless you order a minimum 1,000 dollars worth!

Yep thats correct they wont unless over 1k but, you can have it shipped to the DHL depot in Buffalo (about 5 mins from the border) and get whatever size order you want then :).

Kate, I cannot order anymore fish just yet. Hopefully in the next few months though.

All you have to do is have your fish shipped to a local DHL in Buffalo and pick em up.

Whoopss missed your post, no worries I just bought more fish and with the DRAS auction on Sunday I'll be even more broke then I am now. :)

at luckys they were 35 @ 3-4'' then the price wqent up to 55 I think and 100 I think ricky made a mistake when taggging the fish.

Some new guy in another forum seems to access to an importer. Not sure the nitty gritty details, but if I can get a decent list, price and if it's real or not, I'll let you guys know.
As a side note: I already got a few leapord thru another source. But they are just baby though. Won't see much of anything for another year or 2. Which is good for me. I can't tank any more frys. All my tanks are already over flowing.

I just googled these and saw babies going for $15.00 on Kijii here in Toronto... so $100.00 is a tad bit much I would say
