How nice to have a Canadian forum like this!:)
I've kept fish for many years, yet never considered plecos, since I thought they only came in the Giant economy size! Just months ago I ended up with a bristlenose sp. Rio-ucayali. I was so taken with this little guy that I got another one - an albino sp. 3.
Now I see they come in an endless variety of sizes and colours and want them all! Yes, I"ve become a pleco addict.
I still do have questions, and am looking forward to participating here.:)

Thanks for the welcome.:)
I"m about 45 min. west of Montreal, but haven't heard of the people/places you mention.
Actually, a pet store not far has what they call a "Snowflake" pleco, which I believe is Ancistrus hoplogenys that I have my eye on!

Hello and welcome,
The snowflake ancistrus is a very nice pleco. Certainly I would buy some. Please post photos if you get any.
