After a 15 month wait my L-174 Panther plecos spawned ten days ago. Got a good look at the eggs on the second day but due to the shape and position of the hollow driftwood they chose I can not get even a glimpse of the fry. The male just blocks things good when I try to peek. Hopefully all is well and they will start to leave the hollow soon.
The female was so fat that I thought she would die if she did not spawn soon. The 2 males had their own caves and she chose the driftwood. The males were not interested even after soft water changes. I finally took out a couple of caves to force them to cuddle up and added a Penguin Power Sponge in addition to the Aquaclear Mini that was already there. A male soon slipped in behind her and they spawned three days later.
