Just picked up a new 20 gallon long tank for 30 bucks at Animalia in Peterborough. If anyone is looking for some new cheap tanks, check it out, got a few left plus a bunch of their holding tanks on sale for 30 bucks like what CanadaPleco picked up a little while back with the blue paint on the back of em.

Tank is now cycling and I'm thinking of making it into a grow out tank, or just another community tank with some new pleco's in it if I find some that interest me :D. Girlfriend wasn't too impressed with the most recent purchase, but I said she could pick out some fish for the tank which seemed to decrease her rage  lol. Now its just a matter of finding some new guys to fill the tank. Any suggestions on some pleco's that aren't too expensive and not too difficult to get a hold of?

Thanks

You may want to try a couple of Clown plecos. They stay small, don't hide much, are fun and inexpensive. Just make sure you put some bog wood in for them (not mopani). Most of the hypancistrus species also stay fairly small but will cost you quite a bit more.

Thanks for the replies :D. Thanks for the suggestion klc, I was thinking of clown plecos as well, I prefer those species that stay small, anything under 6-7 inches basically. I will have a look at some of the lfs in the area and see what I can turn up.

I heard that BA's at Yonge & Steeles have a few clown plecos available.
