I picked up 2 huge males yesterday. Smallest was around 8'' the other just a bit bigger. I needed 2 males for the females I have. I put both in the tank after I dripped them. I saw that when they were in the bucket the largest was chasing the other one around. It was nothing major the same chasing that was going on in the tank from the place I picked them up. So I put them in the tank 100gal bunch of other fish and the females. About 6hrs after I put them in I come to check on them and the smallest male was dead and looked like he was sent through the ringer a few dozen times. I really did not think they would go at it like hat but they did.
Just felt like sharing :)
Sorry to hear of your loss. I have a couple of Sultans that have recently "mixed it up". Torn noses etc but thankfully nothing fatal. I guess we shouldn't be suprised when males become aggressive over territory or females.

I thought I would of had a chance to separate them before it reached this point.

I asked Jimmmy to bring them in for me. They were huge man awesome colour the best I have ever seen. Cheaper than online as well even at his normal price. Oh and they were mostly small spot as well. not fond of the big spot's but they are nice as well.
