Favorite Pleco

I think it's safe to say that we all have a favorite type of pleco, whether you have one or one hundred. What is it about your favorite that appeals to you most and sets it above the rest? Mine is the L264 Sultan. I find their markings to be striking and I absolutely love their "ballsy" attitude. When bloodworms are put into the tanks, they immediately go into a search and destroy mode, zipping around with fins up and flared. Fish keeping just doesn't get any better than this!

Ummm this is a hard one. I don't think I can think of one specific one that stands out for me.

I LOVED my big L47, he was soo mean looking.

I really like my big L330's

The L46 are cool, but hide too much :(

I am seeking out a colony of L239's now to attempt a breeding, it's been done a few times before overseas so I am gonna give it a whirl. That and the cool blueish colouring to them I really enjoy.

I already really want a group of L134's, the markings on them are so cool looking.

Well that about sums me up for fav's :)

Of the one's I own vs. want at this point I would have to say it's the L201's ..

Those are all good choices. I would have to say my favorite is the L134 Leopard Frog pleco.

Hmmm that is so hard to pick and choose as there are soooooo many of them. Of the ones I own it is a toss up between the Sultan and the Flash plec. Both are very active and constantly visable plecs.

Well, for me it's pretty easy. The zebra pleco is still and will forever be my favourite.
I don't know why. It's like obsession at first sight. I just accidentally saw one for sale years ago at Managerie and that forever changed me. I know at that momment that this is a fish that I would keep for the rest of my life. Mind you, there where some instances where I've grown so depress from a batch of dead fry that I wanted to sell everything and give it up.

On top of that, there where some really pretty undescribed pleco that I saw going for sale at a Japanese site. Ofcourse these are just wishful thinking.

Of the ones that are available:
- Green phanton (L201)
- Blue phanton (Lsomething)
- Gold nugget
- white seam Bn pleco
- Sunshine pleco (had one for years and survived a few accidents too, until my 1 year old piece of garbage hydor pump gave out)
- leapard frog pleco

Err ... well my list is pretty long ... but these are some of the top favourites.
