Not sure if anyone on here has ever kept some native species we have in ontario. Well I have a 90 Gallon tank with some bass and perch in it. I noticed today that, well it is FROZEN! there is at least an inch of ice covering 80% of the surface, no ice where the bubbles are coming up. So I caved and stuck a heater in there... Figure its better then seeing an aquarium split open with the force of expanding ice. Anyone else ever have that happen to them?
Oh and the fish are just fine, they are a tad sluggish, have been for about 6 weeks now. I also havent really fed them in a month, cool fish, and mean as hell.
