Okay I FINANNLY got around to taking some pics of the plecs in one of my 125 gallon tanks today. Unfortunately the freakin L330 wouldnt come out until after I put my camera away :(

Ignore all the crap floating around.. hasnt been vacummed in a week and all these plecs sure make a mess!

Here's my big Male L047 - Hes around a foot long.

Feeding time and my smaller L047 (female around 9") also an L191, L031, L081, LDA33, and there might be more.

I can't blieve my L031 came out to eat infront of the camera. He's very shy, and is easily 6". I think my LDA33's are growing a bit too.

It's about time we saw pictures of the loving couple! Nice shots and great looking plecos. I'm sure they must look quite impressive when viewed up close and personal. The other plecs look great as well. Do they all get along?

Suprisingly they get along pretty good! there is some fighting amongst the LDA33's but thats about it.

I use a Canon EOS 30D to shoot with.

I don't see any sign of fighting at all. You must have created an exellent environment so there's plenty of hiding spots. In situations like these, the most is probably just some show of flashing and maybe a shove or so.
In real fights, you would see scalding along the body and a spot here and there where the skin is bitten off.

Wow... I LOVE the ones with the large white spots... and I have to say.. the clown pleco is looking pretty teeny beside the big green guy. They're all beautiful!!!

that clown pleco is a couple yrs old and is fullt grown too!

I am glad I took the pics when I did.. This past week I was away from wed-saturday, came back and the big male mango L047 looked trapped... well he was! I actually thought dead at first... He managed to jam himself into some creavice and knock out a BIG rock.. but that big rock fell back on him and trapped him in! He's got a BIG scrape on his back side now :( He looks to be healing up tho.

Beautiful collection there. I just started my collection and got a L031 (I was thinking it was an L030 for some reason) but love it none-the-less. However I have noticed that it has a seam on its tail that I have not seen in any pics of a L031... any ideas?

It is about 6cm or so. I have a L183 and the dots on it are much finer than the L031 I have.

It maybe a new pleco ... give it some time to grow. It sounds like an L183 to me too.
