sooo... what do you guys use to weight down veggies. I am at the point where I am going to be grabbing plecos and wanted some suggestions on getting the vegies to the bottom of the tank for them to feed on

I use a big butter knife and stick it through the whole thing. It works great. I have tried all the other ways and this is the best so far.

I use an elastic band around a stone, slate or driftwood.
This works for me and I haven't had the need to try anythig else. Yet.

I ground down the tip and threads of some 2.5" S.S. carriage bolts. They can be jammed though anything and work pretty well - at least for me.

I'm constantly teased for having a fork in the bottom of my tanks...lol Either that or I grab an elastic and band it to a rock or large shell.

float em.. if they sink they sink.. the plecos will find them at the top if they dont.

I dont trust the elastic bands. I have other fish and some turtles in the tanks and have seen them try to eat the elastic. I had a puffer eat one and I was lucky that he passed it. I have read about others having fish die because of them.
