Going on a road trip Yeh!

I'm going to Dragons today Hopefully they have some Plecos. I'll check it out and let you all know. I'm so excited!

I went to the two stores in Markahm that were mentioned... Lucky Aquarium and Aquapet. The only thing I wanted to do at aquapet was leave right after I walked in there... was not impressed with the tanks or the condition of the store. Lucky on the other hand is a very nice store. Like most oriental owned pet stores the layout isn't the best but the stock was good and healthy and they would remove a dead fish the minute they saw it. I did grab a trio of dwarf chain loached from the store and they did have about the best selection of plecos I have seen around. Unfortunately they were not fully sure about the max size of some of them and I did not wat to risk buying something that could grow larger than I wished. If you go there bring your notes with you as the staff are not fully familiar with plecos... but they did have the stock... including some nice peppermints.

How'd the road trip go? Did you find any little beauties to take home? Like any lfs, Dragon can be feast or famine. I hope you weren't disappointed. I find it to be consistently one of best shops for plecos.

Well it was great to go but I did'nt get any Plecos. They did have some Snowballs and I wasn't sure what the other tank was they called them Rusty. So no new kids this weekend. I get off work early now on Fridays and I have to go to Yorkdale Friday night so maybe I will check out Finatics. If I'm correct is that the one at Kennedy and Steeles?

Finatics is not at Kennedy & Steeles that is AquaPet and Lucky Aquarium. Lucky did have a few plecos but nothing that really jumped out at me. Although they did have a peppermint but not sure of the type and a L005.

Finatics is Kennedy and St Clair area. 599 Kennedy Road.

If you are in Markham check out Golden Ocean Aquarium. They are on Leslie just north of Hwy 7 and have a good selection of Plecos.

Taza you were right in saying Kennedy for Finatics just too far north..

They are a good bit south of the 401 on the east side of the street here is a thread I linked a map in..

If you stop at Finatics, you may as well check the Big Al's which is also on Kennedy just a couple of block to the north.

There is also North American Fish Breeders on Kingston Road too. 2260 Kingston Rd

Excellent Sounds like I'll be busy shopping, it must be great to have such a selection of places to go!
