View Full Version : A Morning Dip

Early this morning I put on my bathing suit and proceeded to get in the koi pond to remove old water lily leaves and bloomed out flowers. Everything went as planned and then I exited that pond and went to do the same in the goldfish pond. All was going well when both feet went out from under me. There I was flat on my back under water struggling to get on my feet and get my hearing aids out of the water. It was just like what Charlie Grimms said at one convention that the rubber liner in these pond are slippery than a greased eel in a pail of snot. I was infact wearing the rubber swim shoes hopefully for a better grip. One dip in all the years i've played in ponds is probably not bad. I didn't get much support from Janet as she was rolling around laughing.

Charlie I hope your okay?
That is quite the description makes me glad my little pond does not have a rubber liner.

I survived with only a tiny nick on one leg. I may go back to wearing socks in the pond. They may have more grip.

Oh Gosh, Charlie. Very glad you are ok, but to be honest, I'm having a hard time keeping from rolling on the floor myself. I could just imagine. Reminded me of trying to give our "puppy" a bath while standing on wet floor beside the bathtub. He ended up running through the house, all soaped up, and I was left in the bathtub...

Good to hear that you are ok and have a chuckle over it.

You had a good day for a dip with the temp and humidity so high but I'm also glad to hear you are okay.
