I'm buying him tomorrow. The pics I took at the *new* lfs (so thankful for a new one) came out badly because it's a camera phone. I wanted to describe it so anyone reading overnight could think on it.

It's a panaque, I'm 90% certain. The head has tiny little spots, the body has larger spots, the belly has spots. The fins, however, are striped much like my L169's. The only thing the guy knew was that he was a "tiger" from the guy he got him from.

I just spent some time over in the panaques at PC and I seriously do not see anything that resembles him perfectly. So! I'll take some nice pics tomorrow and we'll debate then, but I thought I'd give everyone something to chew on.

Oh... and I got a 4 foot, 60 gallon tank and stand today for $215. Nice knowing someone that's a manager at PetSmart. :-) It usually sells for $349 or so, had it on sale for $269 and since it conveniently had "dings" in the cabinet (*coughbscough*) I got an extra 20% off. I.... am a happy camper. :-) That tank and stand together is bigger than my whole tv cabinet that my 42 inch tv is in. That's bliss right there.

The pics are kinda fuzzy, but looks like a Peckoltia to me. you can see all of the fish from that family here (http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/numbers.php?mode=l&thumbs=16&start=0&genus_id=18). A shot of the mouth/teeth would seal the deal on if its panaque quite easily though.

I think we have a winner with L205. :-) Great call, sweets!

They had some L205 at Lucky's if you're looking for more of them.

Oh, I wish. I live in the states. I only come here because you guys are nicer than my previous forum counterparts. :-) Maybe I'll make it to honorary Canadian one day. (I do like hockey ~ Go Habs!)

I got the pleco!! Talked the guy into $20 US. Measured him out at 5 inches. (dunno whether you guys would prefer cm or mm) He tried to rattle off some L number like L33. I think what he did was search Tiger Pleco online and just tried to remember the first L number that matched the name.

Either way! It's beautiful and doing well so far.

Looks nice and healthy. We generally use inches here as well :)
