Sand was added today

After I washed / rinsed the black 3m Colourquartz sand I added it to the 77g this afternoon and washed out a couple of dirty filters from the 20g in there too. Hoping by next weekend to be able to start moving fish over a couple per week, I guess.

Many thanks for all the tips for washing the sand - outside in a bucket that I won't use again and wearing gloves; and turning off the filter pump while adding the sand. I'll leave the filter pump off overnight while the tanks settles some.

Finally today, the lid arrived for this tank. Now I can put the light on and see what's what. Not too bad but I'll have to get some 'decent' driftwood sometime. I have two (yep counted them myself) guppies in there as testers. They've been in since Sunday and so far, so good. I really like the black sand - it looks like velvet in there.
