The Birds are Arriving

I was sitting having breakfast this morning when a flock of a dozen Purple Grackles flew by. They sould be here big time by the weekend. The Robins usually arrive a week later just before our last snow fall.
They were headed you way Rich.

Nothing my way yet :( Still foot and a half of snow to melt away, although it is going pretty quick now! Will be nice to see some wild life again.

I even had a pair of Robins in my backyard yesterday. Also heard that there are open areas on the lake where my cottage is on the Bruce Peninsula. The ice does not usually go before mid April in that area.

At the GO station, I always park close to lamp posts because I'm afraid of people who swing their doors and hit other cars. But I know birds like to hang out on top of these posts, now I'm worried about poop. Maybe I'll just bike. lol
