White Spot Ancistrus

These plecos spawned for me recently. I called them L180 in my ad. After more research, I think they may be L71, L181 or L249. Planet Catfish shows all three numbers for the same fish.

They look like the fry that I have. The white band on the tail disapears in adults. I do think they could be 071's. Are the parents about four inches in size? Like I have already said that Planet Catfish and Aqualog give different sizes and information for the same fish. Who can we depend on?

Thanks Charlie. Yes the parents are not more than 4". They are probably the same species. If I recall correctly, your adults have a bit bigger white spots.
