Have seen a few of these listed around lately, but the real 136 is out of Brazil, what do you think these are?

There are 2 places I have seen this week with what looks like the same fish to me, they are selling them as L136b and LDA05. I just dont see it happening, would like to know their real number as they are really nice looking fish.

I heard before 136b is usually a 201 but those ones don't look like 201s.

L136B and Lda05 look to be the same fish if you look at the planetcatfish site and the german site. \l welse. Where did you see these fish?

No pseudas are allowed to be exported at all, except small L114, which are actually caught in Guyana but they go through Brazil.

I think those plecos are L136a/LDA05 and they are the same fish. Sometimes the L136a is misidentified as L262. I have both types and can tell the difference. The L136a is slightly smaller with less and bigger spots.

I have 5 of what I bought as spotted plecos. I first thought they were 262's but have come to the conclusion that they are 136a. They look the same as your picture. The 136b's have larger spots if you compare them in the L number book.

Bringing this thread back form the dead. Wish I would have taken photos today, as I finally moved my "LDA05's" 18 of them, ranging from 3.5" - 1.25". Dark fish, with small spots, but much fewer then the pictured fish above. These are all F1's I have, some have been growing for a few years now. To date I have still never seen any photos of any there fish that look like these. Just happy I have not lost any and they are steadily growing :)

Anyway, they now have a 75g tank to themselves so hope to see them get some faster growth on now.
