My L183 spawned but......?

The couple finally decided to give it a try.
I had them spawn last Wed....on Sat he kicked the cluster out, so I placed the cluster in a fry saver.....got some wigglers but today they all fungused.
Well see if they give it another go.

The next time make sure the PH is down to about 6 and use some alder cones. Glad to here they are trying. Better luck next time.

My PH was at 6 and fry saver was in the parents tank. But next time I will place a couple of cones in the fry saver.

Nice, did you use the "don't change water for a few weeks" method? I find that to be hard to grow frys. It works in triggering the parents to breed, but the problem starts when they hatch. The fry mortality rate is very high. I am just glad that my hypans breeds in clean water. That helped me keep my fry mortality rate very low.

Actually Peter the water was very clean as I was doing water changes on this tank every 3 days.
You may also be right because when they spawned....it was a week with no water change.
