Hi there,
Leopard was sold as a "common", but I'd like to know what kind he is specifically =)

I'm still trying to take a picture of him with his top fin up =P

to me it looks like a L001

Hmmm I"ll go look at L001 pictures on planet catfish
Although he's usually dark brown background with black leopard print

he's got more than ten rays in his dorsal fin so he should be in the Pterygoplichthys group
(cannot snap pictures fast enough)

oh yes, definitely a ptery. Most if not all are from that genus.

It is just is just the common L-001 Glyptoperichthys joselimaianus. They are common and cheap as they grow large and are now wild and being a pest in the St John's River in Florida. There are colour variants that show up in stores and stores make up their own fancy names to sell fish.
