Hi.
The name is Mike, I was active over at plecofanatics, found my way over here.
I have a pretty nice little pleco collection but I am having to sell the majority of it off as I am moving to cottage country in the summer time.
I'll still be setting up a little tank up there, of course nothing near the collection I have now..... :(
anyway, thanks for having me onboard.

Hey, when i was living up north in cottage country the plecos LOVED the water. Water changes were real simple too. walk down to lake, scoop up bucket of water, dump into tank lol.
Welcome to the board.

hey guys
yeah i've tested the water already and since i'm living in a bay that backs onto protected marshlands the PH is way off from what my fish are used to.
I am keeping my favourites though, a bossy sub adult royal that I picked up last summer and an adult Queen Arabesque that I'm looking into breeding down the road. They're staying with a friend until I can get a tank cycled up north.

he's 5+ inches
I picked him up over a year ago, walked into my big als that usually never stocks plecos and there he was, turned out someone traded him in. $40 bucks :D
been my favourite but it's true what they say about royals, he was very territorial with my adult mangum to the point of harassing him to death :( every other fish close to his size knows to run away now, only the common can push him around.
i've had great luck with the few panaques i've had and makes me want to do a panaque setup down the road. :)

I haven't heard that about royals, and luckily mine havent started doing that yet. They're both @ the 4" mark right now and leave everyone alone. My clowns on the hand are starting to try and be bossy towards some of the other guys.
I can't stop looking @ that pic, the yellow in him is just awesome.

yeah he's actually a bit more greenish, but the flash brough out the gold in him. i'm going to take better pics of all of my fish before they're gone.
i've read that about clowns, half the reason I never got any...... most loaches from my understanding can be bossy in groups as they like to hog all the bottom to themselves.
man, i really want to get another tank setup...... :(

he might still be around, there are a couple people coming by on sunday, but after that what isnt gone will be getting sold to a petstore later in the week.
of course I'd much rather see them go to real enthusiasts :)

okay lemme know after sunday whats left
Hi Mike: I tried to get a hold of you a couple of times this afternoon but there was no answer so I left messages. I still want the plecos, cories etc we discussed on Friday but I'm going to be away until Friday. If they're still available, I'll pick them up next weekend. Hopefully we'll have better luck linking up then. Let me know.

ended up keeping the two small royals, they are doing well. I setup a tank at my friends place with the two royals, the adult common and my adult tin foil barbs. after a rough summer they are all alive and well.
the goldline royal, queen and violet are in my friends tank, doing well and behaving themselves.
