L180 spawned

My L180 ancistrus plecos bred a couple of weeks ago. The batch of over 40 fry is is doing well in a fry saver. Pics to be posted soon.

Thank you. I'm on a roll! Three species in the past month.

And the Claros spawned again but the male kicked the eggs out this time. I tried to save some so we'll see if they hatch.

These plecos are unusual because they lay eggs on the top of the cave rather than the floor. The eggs are sticky but are more prone to being knocked out of the cave as the male shifts upside down each time he goes in and out.

I'm debating whether to just flip the cave next time.

but is there physically something different about the top? It might just be their preference of laying eggs on the top of the cave...
