Getting fatter

Thanks Jackson, this is one of 2 that are chunky. Think its around 6-7". Forgot to measure it when i had it out. The other chunky one is probably around 9" based on my rough estimate.

It is hard to tell if that is a female. Is it a female?

My big male L-114 is a fat fish as well. I thought it was a female because of this but there is no way it is a female. They seem to get fat when they are fed a lot of foods. They dont move much i think that is why. They are not a very active fish well unless food is dropped in LOL

Looks like a female. Not 100% sure. One day I'll take them all out and have a closer look at which is what.

They get the usual NLS wafers, raw shrimps, sweet potatoes, zuchinni.

You're right. Maybe we're overfeeding them. I am sure in the wild, they probably use up some energy moving around looking for food.

Wow, either it's a female ready to mate or it's a very fat male. And yes, I too agree that we feed our pleco way too much. It's kind of pathetic to see a male so fat that he can't support his own weight and slide down the glass when he is sucking against it.

My L134 had a hard time sticking to the glass yesterday. I have to put her on the diet.

I wish, but I only have one. I'm not sure about sex yet, not fully grown.
