How long does it take for eggs to hatch? and after hatching when should you take them from the male?

It usually takes 5 days for the eggs to hatch depending on temperature. If the pair are alone in the tank you can leave the fry right in with them. If they have spawned in a tank with other fish keep an eye on them and remove them before the egg sac is completely gone wihich is another 4 or 5 days.

When I was breeding BN I would remove the male, cave and eggs to a 10g tank (aged water and a cycled sponge filter) to hatch as they were in a tank with angels. My original dad wouldn't eat till the babies had hatched and were eating. As soon as the fry were moving and eating I would put dad back in with the other tank and wait for the next spawn.
