Cats...L235...not L351
and no they are not. Both males, females have little to almost no odontodes on the fins.

Head shape is very different though.... I would be more inclined to say its a pair.
Wait for Dale to pipe in here, he just got 24 XL L235's. So he has a better idea on sexing them.
A lot of plecos only get the 'furry odontodes' when in breeding condition.

Going by their head and nose shape I would take them as a possible pair.

Of course! And when is it I was able to get the number right? When it comes to number, don't trust Cats. Lol
As for L351, I think it was wishful thinking.

:banghead: So other two were for sure males. They had even more growth and wider head.

Looks like a pair to me. Hard to say as they appear to be 3" or smaller (SL). This fish is more easily sexed at 4"+. Length of rostrum and width of head appear to be a pair to me. The odontodes on these flat plecos is abundant on both males and females. L-52,168,235,etc will not be easy to sex in aspects of methods used for Hypancistrus and peckoltia. I'll show pics of my larger L-235 and 52 when I get them out of the tetracycline and they are healthy.
