Cat bites are scarry stuff

My girlfriend was bit by her cat when she was trying to separate her and another cat when they were fighting. This one bite was very bad. We went to bed and then in the morning her hand was 5x the size. I rushed her to the Doc and they gave her some meds. Then around 12am she said she was not feeling well. I rushed her to the hospital. I spent a few hours there. They had to set her up with intravenous meds and I have to take her back every day for 5 days for treatment. She has to walk around with some pump that feeds her meds and we go back to get the new bags.

I hate cats they are dirty and this is proof. The people at the hospital said this is very common with cat bites they are like poison.

The crap part is she has to cancel her B-Day party because of this. I cant believe all this from a stupid cat bite.

ah man that sucks! Sorry to hear that. I hear ya, I hate cats too. I got scratched real good by one in Jamaica last year... Got all freaked out that I'd end up in the hospital down there, not fun!

I bitched at the hospital staff about having to bring her there everyday and now she has a nurse coming by to take care of her once a day :) I love being an ass you get your way 98% of the time LOL

I am also not a fan of cats. They are not the cleanest of animals and rarely have any affection level. Personally I can't even keep them due to subsceptability of illness from them (toxoplasmosis). Hope your gf gets better soon. 1 week isn't bad, I had to be on a shunted IV for 3 months and had to have a nurse come by every day to change the thing, even had to learn to sleep with it on... :(
