View Full Version : Help ID ..are they L 333's?

Hi There..

I was thinking the one on the left is a male L333. The one on the right is a female.

What ID would you give these two fish? I was hoping they were both L333's

not too sure..but the one on the left actually looks like a 260.

The one on the right does look like a L260 and the one on the left is not a L333. With L333 the black and white markings are even in width. that is they are both the same. Yours has thinner white markings.

wait the one on the right looks like a 260? I thought the left one is more 260 ish...

I think we need some better pics because the one on the left looks like my L333s and the one on the right looks almost like L129.

Neither one looks like L333 to me. More pictures are needed, both top and side views.

I will take and post pictures of my L333 for comparison.

The smaller one I kept. The bigger one I traded for a male and I also have another male which just bred with the small one in the pics.

Now I remember commenting on your pleco pictures before. They were both L333 females. I assume your male looks like these.

Hard to get top views...Lines are definitely not white. Im now convinced that the male is a L66 (it was sold to me as a King Tiger). The female however looks like an L 318

You could not ask for a better person to ID a Hypan. I would trust this ID :)
