Kind/kind: Hypancistrus frame “L 260”

Origin: Rio Tapajós, Pará, Brazil

Presented: DATZ 03/1998

Size: 8 - 10 cm

Other: With an overall length of 8,-10 cm L 260 belongs to the remaining smaller Hypancistrus kinds.
With animals of the size mentioned already clear sex differences are to be constituted. Males possess extended Interopercular Odontoden and its first jet of the Brustflosse are occupied with strong pricks. The females against it have a thicker tail handle and their shape work also altogether somewhat more fülliger.
From the design sample juvenile animals often remind of L 129, whereby adulte animals see however often L 66 very similar. At a only recently discovered population close Santarem shows the animals already bright yellow strips.
