Kind/kind: Hypancistrus frame “L 270”

Origin: Rio Curua Una, Pará, Brazil

Presented: DATZ 11/1998

Size: 10 - 12 cm

Sex differences: The males possess longer Odontoden on tail handle and Brustflossen, also the Interopercular Odontoden are remarkably extended.

Breeding: Sexually mature at around 6-8 cm.

Feeding: Various frozen foods (Artemia, red and black mosquito larvae) as well as Spirulina tabs.

Furniture: Rocky caves, pipes and tangled wood. Plants are not necessary.

Distribution: Rio Curuná, one of the smaller rivers between the Rio Tapajós and the Rio Xingú, which drains the southern Amazon.

Temperature: 27.0-30.0°C or 80.6-86°F
